Teachers are the very backbone of everything NHA accomplishes. They are highly effective and dedicated educators committed to the mission of New Hope Academy, focused on building relationships with students, and are accountable for their student’s academic growth and the school’s success.
We are recruiting teachers to work with our students in 2nd Grade and in 6th grade
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF TEACHERS
- Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that are aligned with the school’s overall vision and future program goals.
- Thoughtfully plan daily lessons and implement specific strategies to meet the needs of all students, providing extra support, enrichment, or variation of work when necessary, including addressing the news of gifted and 504 Plan students.
- An ideal candidate is a subject matter expert and is motivated to develop units of study that lean into personal areas of passion. They are visionary and excel at collaborating and engaging with peers and administrators to improve instructional practice and achieve student learning goals. Using the curriculum and texts selected by the school, teachers are encouraged to explore relevant units more in-depth, designing and implementing assessments that measure progress toward academic standards and diagnose areas of student misunderstanding. Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices and use assessment data to drive instruction and plan activities.
- An ideal candidate thrives in cooperative work environments and enjoys being a part of a creative team. They are accountable for their actions and model characteristics that enlighten students about the beauty of how people express their faith, rather than focus on a particular religion or point of view. Using established course materials they implement curriculum by leaning into personal areas of passion while building and modeling real-life relationships and demonstrating how to execute goals.
- New Hope Academy is committed to engaging students and cultivating lifelong learners and global thinkers. A successful candidate is introspective and reflects on successes and areas of growth as a teacher, seeks to improve performance and responds positively to feedback.
