Apple Tree Learning Centers looking for some energetic, nurturing, Outdoor based After School Early Educators to become part of our Early Education Program starting next school year for 2024-2025. Apple Tree Learning Centers has been open for over 26 years and is 5 Star, NAEYC Accredited program as well as a public pre-k provider. We are expanding our programs this Fall and these positions will begin when the expansion is complete. Apple Tree Learning Centers is a play-based program that believes children learn through play and social interactions, our teaching is intentional and based on children's interests.

BASIC DUTIES
*3 hour shift 230-530
*15+ Hours per week, Monday through Friday-more hours available if interested
*create and follow a schedule that helps children build healthy eating, sleeping, and bathroom routines
*be open to change and flexible with adapting such schedule based on the needs of your students
*Work closely with your colleagues, use ongoing communication
*Follow the Apple Tree Learning Centers philosophy of teaching
*Follow the lead of the children and be able to stand and or sit at any given time
*Be able to lift at least 30lbs at any given time
QUALIFICATIONS/REQURIEMENTS:
*Follow NAEYC and STARS Regulations as well as child care state regulations
*Pass the state-required background check along with Finger Print Clearance
*Understand and follow the requirements of a Mandated reporter at all times
*Promote play-based learning and encourage growth in all areas of development
*Complete all requirements on time
*Use Procare for ongoing parent communication
Meet at least one of the following requirements:
At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level One (1) or Two (2) Certificate; or
At least a current CDA (Child Development Associate) and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or
At least a State Board of Education approved Human Services Program Certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or
At least successful completion of the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals’ course or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger; or
At least successful completion of a three (3) college credit course in child or human development or a three (3) college credit course for school age care and education and at least twelve (12) months experience working with groups of children from grade three (3) or younger
