We are seeking a talented Physical Electro-Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electro-mechanical systems and components, utilizing computer-aided design software, and ensuring that all designs meet technical specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Use computer-aided design software to develop 2D drawings and 3D models of electro-mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to read and understand wiring and schematic diagrams.
- Review assigned job orders which include quotations, customer specifications' requirements, electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Design and layout of control building general arrangement and SWGR cable management for medium voltage power distribution.
- Generate detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and codes such as ANSI, IEEE, and NEC.
- Thoroughly examine and adhere to external codes, standards, and specifications specific to utilities or job sites.
- Participate in quality control processes and inspections to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and understand wiring and schematic diagrams.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs.
- Familiar with Mid-Voltage Power Distribution is required.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical design or a similar role.
- Must have electrical experience.
- Experience with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD 18/22, Inventor 2022, and Vault is required.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
