We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Learning and Development Specialist to join our Talent Development team. This consultative role is pivotal in managing our learning systems, including LinkedIn Learning, creating custom content, overseeing plant learning activities, and facilitating training sessions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing our workforce's skills and career development through innovative learning strategies and robust assessment tools.
1. Establish and maintain open, clear, and transparent communication with both internal and external key stakeholders to ensure alignment, collaboration, and the successful achievement of business objectives.
2. Strong business acumen and the ability to leverage data insights to influence business strategies and outcomes to drive ROI with our talent.
3. Proactively identify and align with the most critical business priorities to drive strategic decision making through your specific role and department.
4. Oversee all learning content systems, including LinkedIn Learning and our internal LSM (Dayforce), ensuring they are up-to-date, accessible, and effectively meet our training needs.
5. Develop curated training materials, learning guides and courses including e-learning modules that address specific organizational needs, align with our company culture, and support growth and development in all Company departments. These materials should help employees apply new skills and knowledge directly to their work, leading to increased business results.
6. Facilitate engaging, dynamic training sessions both in-person and virtually, ensuring high participation and retention of knowledge and materials.
7. Collaborate with and influence manufacturing plant leaders to design and implement on-site training programs that enhance operational efficiency and employee skills in a manufacturing/distribution setting.
8. Develop and analyze key success metrics, and report on training data to assess the impact of training programs and identify areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
9. Develop and implement career pathing programs that align with individual career goals and organizational needs, helping employees visualize and achieve their professional development.
10. Design and conduct training and skill assessments to gauge employee competencies and identify gaps, using the insights to tailor development strategies and measure progress over time.
11. Ensure all mandatory compliance training is updated, delivered, and tracked to meet legal and regulatory requirements pertinent to the organization.
12. Identify, evaluate and partner with external training providers to ensure high-quality training services and alignment.
13. Support internal branding including our Talent Development intranet.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, 3/5 years of experience in learning and development, strong understanding of training methodologies, e-learning platforms and creating educational content. Creative thinker with the strong project management skills.
Preferred:
Experience in Industrial or manufacturing-based training environments.
