Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Shift: 3rd (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hourly: $32.79/hour + $1.08 shift premium
Position Summary:
Advanced technical work in the construction, installation,
calibration, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and
equipment used in production and related services.
Primary Duties:
- Design circuitry by selecting proper components to perform desired functions
- Modify and fabricate a variety of electrical/electronic
equipment from schematics and sketches
- Troubleshoot PLC program logic for machine control
functions
- Install, maintain, calibrate and repair plant equipment
- Read blueprints, instructions and schematics
- Follow standardized methods of work
Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of digital
and analog applied electronics
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic, mechanical,
hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to weld using arc, gas and mig welding
equipment
- Ability to work from wiring diagrams and specifications
- Ability to interpret electrical, electronic, and
mechanical specifications and manuals
- Ability to construct, calibrate, maintain, and repair
electrical/electronic, mechanical devices and
equipment
- Ability to use standard test equipment and bench tools
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Must take a respirator fit test and be willing to be
certified in first aid and CPR
Work Environment:
- Continuous exposure to material handling equipment (forklifts)
- Frequent exposure to temperature extremes, noise
levels of >80 db, mechanical hazards, moving objects
- Occasional exposure to fumes, dust, mists and gases,
humid/arid conditions, cramped quarters, confined
spaces, heights, vibrations, sunlight, corrosive
chemicals, solvents, allergens, and insect bites
Physical Demands:
- Continuous use of touch
- Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly
- Must be able to see well including depth perception
and the ability to distinguish between colors
- Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): standing,
walking, lifting, carrying (25-50 lbs), pushing & pulling
of heavy carts, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling,
crouching, twisting, reaching overhead
- Occasional sitting, throwing, and crawling may be
required
Required Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED strongly preferred
- Must have a minimum of 5 years maintenance
experience
- Must successfully complete testing process for
classification
