Job Title: Program Associate
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Program Associate to join our team. The Program Associate will play a key role in program development, supervising initiatives, and supporting various social work projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social impact, possess strong leadership skills, and excel in social media management, public health, and volunteer management.
Responsibilities:
Program Coordination
- Assist the Director of Programs in planning and coordinating program activities and initiatives.
- Support the execution of program outreach and engagement strategies to strengthen our visibility in the community.
-Ensure the program team has the materials and resources for successful session implementation.
Community and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and volunteers to enhance program delivery and engagement.
-Facilitate effective communication and relationship-building efforts with all community
partners.
Facilitator, Mentor, and Volunteer Management:
- Assist the Director of Programs in scheduling interviews for potential volunteers, facilitators, and mentors.
- Send out volunteer packets and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and returned.
- Track and maintain accurate records of volunteer, facilitator, and mentor information.
- Manage email correspondence with volunteers, facilitators, and mentors, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Help create and distribute meeting agendas and record meeting minutes for volunteers and contractors.
- Support the Director of Programs in organizing and coordinating training sessions and meetings for volunteers, facilitators, and mentors.
Recordkeeping and Invoicing
- Maintain and update the database of program participants and volunteers.
- Manage invoicing, including creating invoices, ensuring timely payments, and coordinating with partners.
Working Conditions
-This role is remote, but occasionally will be required to attend partner and vendor events, recruitment events, schools, trainings, meetings, etc.
- This is a contractual position working 25 hours per month
-The contract duration is for a minimum of 6-months, with the possibility of an extension
based on performance and program needs
-Will occasionally need to pick up supplies for program sites (possible lifting of 5-10
pounds)
- Occasional weekend and evening meetings, training event management and attendance
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, nonprofit management, community
development)
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit or community-based organization is preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple
tasks and deadlines effectively
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact
professionally with diverse stakeholders
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management and
online communication platforms
