Job Description: The Material Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing materials required for PCBA manufacturing and production. This role involves working closely with procurement, production, and inventory management teams to ensure materials are available as needed, optimizing inventory levels, and minimizing production delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Planning:
- Develop and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) to support PCBA production schedules.
- Forecast material needs based on production schedules, customer orders, and historical data.
- Ensure timely and accurate ordering of materials to meet production demands.
- Supplier Coordination:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor and adjust delivery schedules of open orders in accordance with shifts in customer demand (pull in/push out)
- Production Support:
- Coordinate with production and purchasing teams to ensure materials are available and properly allocated for scheduled production runs.
- Address any material-related issues that may impact production timelines.
- Continuously Track (LLTM) Long Lead Time Material by work order and update work start dates accordingly
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze material usage, lead times, and inventory turnover rates to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on material availability, usage, and inventory status for management review.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in cross-functional teams to improve material planning and inventory management processes.
- Implement best practices for material planning and inventory control in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in PCBA manufacturing.
- Proficiency in material requirements planning (MRP) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and procurement processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.28 - $26.25 per hour
