Leaders will take the time to look out for and care for the Team members. “No one will care until you show them how much you care!” They will encourage team member’s growth and development. Expectations of New Team Members
To understand that We are a Team and need their full effort to succeed. We expect every team member to be dependable by showing up to work on time. Team members must have the courage to communicate clearly and honestly. To be strong enough to develop themselves, seek out responsibility and take ownership of all their actions & inactions. Strive to be proficient in their duties. Take initiative when no orders are provided. To have the enthusiasm and open mind that makes it easy to teach. To have the unselfish nature that desires to help team members rather than seek self comfort.
Each position can be taught with no prior training. We just request that you have a great attitude with a desire to learn. Everyone is expected to first prove their proficiencies in the subsequent roles ( Team member, Line Cook, Baker, Shift Lead, etc) before advancing into the next position. Advancements are based on one’s own merit and consistency. Past experience similar to a position will help one advance faster, but won’t guarantee an automatic advancement when initially starting off.
Tips are shared among all the employees and range from an additional $5-$7 per hour depending on the season and people working per week. Please note that the wages listed for the job position include a base of $5 tips which can increase per the previous statement.

Front Of House (FOH) Team Member SUMMARY
Responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing products ( smoothies, basic brewed coffee drinks, pastries, etc ), restocking inventory, handeling register, expediting food to customers, accepting payments, making changes, and performing general cleaning duties in the retail store. Will receive training in customer service techniques, sales suggestions, cleaning/health standards, and general store procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Provide integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and purpose of Juice N Java. 2. Engage and connect with every customer by providing excellent customer service 3. Answer customer questions and makes sales suggestions. 4. Answer the phone and take phone orders. 5. Be able to provide knowledge Juice N Java food and products. 6. Perform general cleaning duties. 7. Follow proper opening and/or closing procedures. 8. Effectively operate point of sale system (cash register). 9. Expedite food and drinks to customers 10. Keep the FOH clean and organized. 11. Have fun.

Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. 6. Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. 7. Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe (cleaning and stocking) 8. Maintain cafe maintenance and cleanliness 9. Flexible to perform other FOH duties when needed. 10. Perform general cleaning duties. 11. Follow proper opening and/or closing procedures. 12. Keep the FOH clean and organized. 13. Have fun.

FOH Shift Leads Responsible for customer satisfaction, employee supervision/scheduling, quality control. They will spend 90% of their time on the FOH driving sales, while helping manage labor, overhead and food costs. This individual is responsible for the overall cafe operations from open to close. They will be expected to maintain established costs and quality standards, lead a team of employees, and ensure quality and sanitation standards are exceeded. Lastly they must be a great leader that is capable fo demostrating leadership qualities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Provide integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture, values and purpose of Juice N Java. 2. Upholds alignment of all training systems with Juice N Java 3. Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Juice N Java and the ability to train and perform in the FOH Basics and Barista 4. Ability to build the strength and knowledge of the team through cross training and effective feedback and follow-up. 5. Ability to manage store operations independently and cover entire shifts as needed.. 6. Displays a positive mental attitude and example by behavior for the store team. 7. Able to count the drawers at the end of the night and reset teh safe 8. Constantly reviews store environment and key performance indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement. 9. An energetic personality who enjoys the retail environment and creating a fun and exciting store environment for everyone. 10. Assists the Manager in fulfilling customer satisfaction, employee supervision, scheduling, merchandising, quality control, and training to our brand standards. 11. FOH Assistant Manager In addition to the resposibilities listed for the FOH Shift Lead, the FOH Assitant Manager will be the full driving force of the FOH. The will be ultimatly responsible for all FOH operations and Assist with the creating of the FOH schedule. They must also be crossed trained with the Basics for Back of House (BOH) and be able to coordinate with the BOH team. In addition, the Assitant Manager must be capable of Roasting the Coffee beans for the Cafe.Must also be Food Manager Certified. Must also display high levels of leadership capabilities when managing the FOH staff.

Constantly reviews store environment and key performance indicators to identify problems,concerns, and opportunities for improvement. 9. Plans role delegation with FOH Shift leads and conducts follow ups with Shift Lead/ FOH team on delegated task environment for everyone. 10. Creates Quarterly performance reviews for FOH team 11. Displays a “Customer Comes First” attitude by training and holding people accountable for delivering exceptional customer service. 12. Can accomplish Online shipping order. 13. Able to edit the POS system buttons when needed 14. Flexible in assisting both FOH and BOH when the needs arise. 15. Able to do bank runs (deposits and change order) 16. Can do Supply inventory and assist the M/GM in ordering

- You will be trained in the foundation of a Front of House team member, then progressed into the requested position no matter your background experience. The timeline varies depending on one’s ability to master these basics and follow on positions. Why do you think we do this and do you foresee having any issues with this process?
- Have you done any activity that you were the main focus and had to perform infront of people? Do you feel any sense of nervousness, anxiousness or annoyance if someone is looking and observing your actions?
- If Hired, expect to have 4-5 shifts that will have you coming in to open the store at 6:30am. This means that you will need to wake up even earlier to get ready for work and commute to the cafe. Then you will be expected to have a great smiling attitude throughout your 7-8hr shift, prioritize the customer needs and deal with the stresses of early morning rushes.
