PRACTICE DESCRIPTION:
A progressive, interventional physician group is looking for a qualified and dedicated front desk receptionist. We hold a fundamental belief that respecting patients and offering meticulously personalized treatment plans contribute to successful outcomes.
POSITION LOCATION:
One full-time position in the Melbourne, Florida location.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The front desk receptionist is responsible for assisting Physicians and Mid-Level Practitioners and managing the flow of patients into our busy, outpatient vascular and interventional practice. This essential job includes managing the schedule, checking patients in and out of the center, and documenting data in our electronic medical record (EMR) system. In addition, the receptionist will follow up with patient phone calls and other administrative tasks as assigned. Ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment, team setting, and have a friendly and outgoing personality.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets patient and checks them into our center.
- Reviews appointment schedules and ensures all patient charts are available for the visit.
- Coordinates and maintains organized patient flow
- Documents and manages patient data in our EMR system
- Answers phones and performs scheduling and follow-up calls with patients
- Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Experience with previous medical practices helpful
- Working knowledge of medical care basics
- Knowledge of practice management and EMR systems
- Incorporates and demonstrates customer service strategies in dealing with people in order to achieve the organization's goal of providing comprehensive, outstanding care
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
