OUI is seeking Disability Support staff (Direct Support Professionals) across multiple programs! Opportunities Unlimited is a non-profit serving the Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding area for nearly 50 years. We provide services to those individuals in our communities with developmental disabilities to include assistance with daily living, job placement and job coaching, social skills, life skills, community integration, early childhood socialization, and continuing adult skills training, as well as a number of other programs and community outreach measures. Duties:
- Provide direct support to individuals with Autism and other developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times
- Follow individualized care plans and document any changes or observations
- Administer medications as directed by a nurse or healthcare professional
- Support clients in participating in recreational activities and social interactions
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients
- Respect and uphold resident rights and confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with resident rights and HIPAA regulations

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
