Workload consists of maintaining therapy caseload, documentation, facilitating group and being part of Clinical team.

Port Recovery is a fast-growing organization helping individuals with a variety of mental health diagnoses achieve their life goals. We collaborate WITH our clients in all aspects of their lives, including employment, academic achievement, housing, health education and wellness management, budgeting, transportation, coping skills, and support for substance use/abuse. We believe in a holistic approach and so we also offer supportive housing, therapy, medication management, and IOP for SUD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Meet with clients for counseling and maintain a client caseload (available options for visits include in-office and virtually through telehealth).
- Conduct intakes and psychosocial assessments.
- Diagnose symptoms and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Complete clinical documentation per agency standards, government policies, and CARF requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with staff members of Port Recovery and its affiliate organizations for scheduling, documentation, and client care.
- Assist with mental health emergencies as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to deliver quality of care in line with the local, state, and federal government laws.
- Ability to deliver quality of care in line with the policies and expectations of accreditation bodies such as CARF.
- Proficient understanding of professionally accepted interventions and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and therapeutic skills to build and maintain rapport with clients.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Respect for individual differences and multicultural diversity.
- Comfort with computers and technology as needed to input clinical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and scheduling.
- Reliable, ethical, and honest work ethic.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must be licensed to practice therapy in the state of Maryland.
- Have the ability, or be willing to accept Medicaid.
