The Pointe Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Student Pastor to provide leadership, strategy and development in creating a vibrant student ministry to help as many teenagers as possible find and follow Jesus. The Student Pastor will own all aspects of ministry related to middle and high school students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring and discipling middle and high school students, encouraging spiritual growth and creating a welcome and inclusive environment for all teenagers.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Recruit, develop, and train a strong volunteer team.
- Lead and assist ministry leaders with regard to curriculum, leader recruitment and development, scheduling, and encouragement (pastor the leaders).
ROLES OF THE STUDENT PASTOR
- Communicate the Gospel – Organize core truths into engaging, relevant, and memorable experiences. This includes curriculum selection, development, and review. It also includes overseeing parent newsletters and other communications.
- Assist Ministry – Serve your leaders. Assist them in whatever way is needed to ensure not only their success but also their sense of joy and fulfillment in doing what God has called them to do. This includes guaranteeing the tools and resources provided are genuinely helpful, communication systems are efficient and effective, environments are inspiring and the messaging is engaging. The Student Pastor establishes the systems that makes all this possible.
- Champion the Next Generation – As teens grow through different life phases, they need engaged and committed adults to show up and connect with them, share life with them, invest in them, and prepare them for what’s next. The Student Pastor ensures that teenagers have those adults in their lives, casts the vision for their potential, and tells these students’ stories to inspire the church to see that teenagers are not the future of the church, they are today’s leaders as well.
- Recruit Leaders – Recruiting teachers, leaders, and coaches is the lifeblood of your ministry. All ministry depends on volunteer servant leaders, who must be discovered, trained, and appreciated.
- Collaborate with the Team – The staff at The Pointe Church is highly relational. We support one another, dream together, and celebrate each other's wins. We believe that every idea becomes stronger with the input of a team.
