The Personal Care Aide will assist persons with disabilities with daily living activities for Washington D.C. Conferencees at a Conference and their hotel accommodations. Duties performed at a place of overnight stay may include light house, personal care preparation for the conference (personal hygiene, dressing, etc.) and assistance with meals. The Personal Care Aide will provide assistance as individuals attend several workshops, network, and meals during the conference activities.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Administers bedside and personal care such as ambulation and personal hygiene assistance.
· Performs housekeeping duties such as light cleaning, and running errands.
· Performs health care-related tasks such as monitoring vital signs and medication under the direction of the individual.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Must possess a strong service orientation, including active listening, critical thinking skills, and close monitoring of clients.
· Basic understanding of medical terminology.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· More than three years of experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing, bending and lifting.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
