You will have the opportunity to deliver technical solutions for CT tubes in Chronos Imaging’s design and manufacturing facility in Aurora, IL.
The responsibilities include the following:
- Designing and developing CT x-ray tube components and assemblies that meet functional requirements, including structural and thermal requirements. Components include: Structural housings, heat exchangers, bearings, x-ray tube vacuum assemblies, and mounting hardware.
- Designing and performing tests to verify product specifications.
- Writing thorough technical documentation and verification/validation reports.
- Interacting with external suppliers to procure new components, meet existing designs, and improve incoming part quality.
- Supporting Manufacturing Engineers to develop or improve production processes.
- Collaborating with Quality & Regulatory Engineers to ensure compliance of parts, assemblies, and processes.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong technical writing ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
- Self-motivated and self-directed
Preferred Skillset:
- Experience working in a regulated industry (ISO 13485)
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Proficient with design software tools
- Strong GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge and application
