The Manager, Strategic Insights reports into to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Insights and supports by creating efficient and effective processes, as well as delivering key monthly client deliverables. Vendor management will be a key area of responsibility and process development. Close interaction with internal client groups is required to inform the development and implementation of ways of working. What we get
- Research/strategy/data analyst experience in a marketing or agency environment.
- Power user of Microsoft Excel, and expertise with OfficeSuite applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing processes to optimize workflows.
- Some experience preferred in presenting data visually (diagrams, maps, newsletters, etc.)
- 4-year degree (communications, marketing, advertising, or related fields); Minimum 2-3 years of work experience. Equivalent work experience acceptable in lieu of formal degree.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter, entrepreneurial and self-sufficient with supervision.
- Have a collaborative work style with strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment that requires flexibility, a strong ability to adapt, multi-task and manage multiple priorities at once.
- Strong attention to detail, and active listening skills, and excellent organizational skills; Handles pressure & stress without sacrificing quality.

- Strong familiarity with research tools – Vivvix/Kantar, Pathmatics, Nielsen Ad-Intel.
- Ad agency exposure, with digital environment experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with working in agile environments.
Responsibilities:
Process
- Proven experience working within established project management methodologies and a strong understanding and experience with project management principles.
- Create a vendor management system for Strategic Insights Team.
- Act as a main point of contact for Strategic Insights Team with vendors.
- Keep track of contracts for strategy tools, vendors and/or partners and ensure contracts are paid on time/renewals are managed.
- Proactively expand and improve strategic insights and research efforts based on client business needs.
- Monitor DAC license holder usage of tools and capabilities.
- Support Associate VP with team resourcing and forecasting – regular check-ins with PMO and team members to ensure utilization is accurately forecasted and team members can handle workloads effectively.
- Consistently bring new ideas to the table, sharing industry trends and insights with wider team, account teams and other departments.
- Proactively organize internal educational sessions with SME, account, and NBU teams.
Deliverables
- Translate competitive, traditional, and digital media data into compelling storytelling presentations with meaningful conclusions and recommendations that align with business objectives.
- Monthly competitive spend reporting for a large automotive tire manufacturer and automotive service center.
- Monthly competitive spend and social listening reporting for a large pest control brand.
- Serve as the client facing strategic insights authority.
- Quality checking client-facing work before it goes to client.
- Ability to digest, compare, segment and cross-tabulate complicated data and synthesize it in a way that extracts insights to drive action towards client metrics and goals.
- Build and assemble PowerPoint decks and presentation content using extracted insights from research data.
- Work closely with account service teams to consistently exceed client expectations.
- Local market insights: develop comprehensive, hyper-local opportunity scorecards for clients based on competitive, demographic and consumer spending data analysis/insights.
