Summary: Jewish HomeLife seeks an experienced and motivated Hospice and Homecare Sales Manager to recruit individuals or families in need of services. This position includes developing and leveraging relationships with referral sources and partners as well as generating new business and referrals for hospice and home care services.
The Account Executive/Sales Manager (AE/SM) is responsible for achieving financial goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies in their assigned territory. The ideal candidate for this role should be driven to hit goals, understand the hospice and home care industry with already established relationships within the senior care industry, and the ability to cultivate beneficial relationships with community referral partners that impact the business.
This is a role that requires initiating daily face-to-face interactions with referral sources (hospitals, rehabs, medical offices, assisted living, skilled nursing, elder attorneys,) as well as initiating outbound lead calls and responding timely to inbound lead calls. A background in cold calling customers and getting through to decision makers in pharmaceuticals, hospital, home health, hospice or long-term care is ideal.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1-2 years’ healthcare specific outside sales experience required.
- Experience in hospice or homecare industry preferred.
- Proficient in CRM management and reporting required.
- Proficient in utilizing social media (Facebook, LinkedIn specifically) for generating leads and managing referrals.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
- Demonstrates the technical selling skills and product knowledge necessary for the Account Executive to effectively present Jewish HomeLife values and expertise. These include pre and post call planning, establishing rapport, effective questioning skills, proposing solutions, managing objections, and closing.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- A robust network of established contacts and relationships with key referral sources for hospice and home care services
- Effective and persuasive communication and presentation skills with a positive and outgoing attitude.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with colleagues, referral sources and prospects.
- Must be comfortable making cold calls.
- Experience with creating and implementing territory sales plans.
- Ability to be creative and generate ideas as they relate to marketing and community education.
- A passion for senior care and client service.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving and exceeding territory admission goals. Meets short- and long-term target account goals.
- Generate home care and hospice patient referrals from existing and potential accounts.
- Generate referrals by building and maintaining relationships with major referral sources, (E.g., hospitals, assistant living facilities, rehab centers, hospice, contract referral sources, community liaisons, and other health care provider professionals) to bring care to more people.
- Leverage previously established relationships to generate new business.
- Conduct research and call on new and untapped referral sources.
- Help build collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
- Coordinate in-services and presentations for health care professionals to educate them on hospice and home care services and to generate new referrals.
- Plan, implement and attend community marketing events to enhance our visibility in the community and generate new relationships and business opportunities.
- Document sales calls daily in CRM (including pre and post call notes); and maintain complete, up-to-date records of targeted referral sources in territory in CRM.
- Coordinates patient admissions with the team, including obtaining required documentation to complete referral to admission process.
Supervisory Responsibility: None.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; ability to sit for 80% of the day; ability to stand for long periods of time as needed.
Mental Requirements: Ability to focus for extensive periods of time on data, letter writing and other administrative duties. Requires mental acuity and the ability to interact with team members and management.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
