The Clinician performs a variety of routine activities to provide psychoeducational care to clients receiving treatment. This treatment includes various behavioral issues such as substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, post incarceration syndrome and co-occurring behavioral health needs. This position works collaboratively with all members of the treatment team including the client and family in conjunction with the therapist/behavioral health professional and re-entry specialists. The level of care for the program is Intensive Outpatient Services with specific curriculum and program design.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates Intensive Outpatient group counseling sessions using specific curriculum for psychoeducation.
- Meets members/clients on a minimum of a monthly basis for individual sessions.
- Manages members’ treatment plans and progress towards program completion.
- Communicates member/client needs to a variety of the Clinical care team and follows-up accordingly.
- Partners with members/clients to develop a role for themselves outside of their recovery and re-entry, while focusing on expected outcomes of increased employment, meaningful community activity, independent living status, and social network.
- Provides supportive services including, but not limited to assistance in maintaining, monitoring, and modifying covered services.
- Identifies necessary resources to meet member/clients’ needs.
- Manages discharge plans upon completion of treatment.
- Maintains the member/clients’ comprehensive clinical record through detailed documentation.
- Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in member/client flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
- Collaborates professionally with courtesy and tact when interacting with the leadership team, employees, and members/clients.
- Completes all necessary and required documentation within 24 hours of service provided.
- Effectively meets any/all outlined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring the highest quality and level of member care and engagement is provided.
- Receives and actively engages in clinical supervision and oversight each week/month based on BHT designation requirements, including completion of all continuing education requirements.
- In addition, all other duties as assigned.

Meets the requirements of a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), such as: *Master/Bachelor degree in behavioral health field; or *Bachelor degree (not bx health) and one (1) year of full-time bx health work exp; OR *Associate degree and two (2) years full-time bx health work exp; OR *Diploma/GED and combo of education in field related to bx health and full-time bx health work exp totaling at least two (2) years; OR *Diploma/GED and four (4) years full-time bx health work exp
