Boise Cascade is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Instructional Designer to join our dynamic Talent team. As an Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective training programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Your expertise in instructional design principles and methodologies will be essential in creating engaging and impactful learning experiences for our employees.
You Will:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs and goals.
- Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and other learning resources.
- Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Incorporate multimedia elements, such as videos, simulations, and interactive activities, to enhance learning outcomes.
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
- Apply instructional design strategies for various delivery methods, including online, blended, and in-person training.
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of training programs through qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Revise and update existing training materials to reflect changes in processes, procedures, or industry best practices.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and recommend innovative approaches to enhance training programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and alignment of training materials across the organization.
Qualifications:·
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 3 or more years proven experience in instructional design and development, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in using instructional design software and authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and ability to create visually appealing training materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in instructional design and adult learning.
