Title: Sr Training Specialist
Summary: The Sr. Training Specialist will be responsible for building and creating a learning culture focused on our front-line associates and supervisors driving associate engagement and development. The Sr. Training Specialist will conduct training needs analysis and design curriculum for learning materials. A Sr. Training specialist will Conduct formal classroom courses, workshops, and develop interactive training. They will also help the Sr. Safety Specialist implement and oversee safety protocols and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace of the Winston Salem facilities.
Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

Works closely with Leaders, and front-line workers to understand individual roles, training needs and to evaluate training effectiveness. This includes developing role-specific training plans.

Create, in tandem with the quality department, quality training courses and implement improvements to current training.

As the program progresses, work with trainers on the floor to ensure they are equipped to effectively train associates including evaluating trainees’ performance, completing trainer evaluations- etc.

Creates training checklists and qualification programs documenting that training has been delivered and associates are qualified to perform their assigned job responsibilities.

Works with the Leadership Team to identify training gaps using loss analysis tools to prioritize training needs.

May work with external training vendors and deliver tailored training programs and courses.

Coordinates the implementation and delivery of training curriculum of various delivery techniques (i.e., computer-based, hand-on, classroom, partnerships with outside organization, etc). This includes assisting with determining training infrastructure such as the need for computers, technical/equip, etc.

Work all shifts required to support training activities. Primary work done on day shift hours.

Collect and analyze training data to identify areas for improvement and track employee progress.

Modify training programs based on feedback and performance results.

Compliance and Documentation utilizing the LMS system (currently ADP)

Ensure that all training/safety programs adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations.

Create and design and implement training modules that align with company goals, policies, and industry best practices.

Conduct training needs analysis for best practices

Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities for internal records and external audits (SQF, SMETA, etc)

Coordinate and chair team member safety committees.

With site leadership, align on and execute safety goals and priorities.

Develop training platform to educate team and address unsatisfactory trends.

Report on, investigate, and follow-up on all incidents, accidents, and near misses.

Comply with and enforce all company work and safety rules and regulatory compliance rules and regulations.

Develop and maintain a positive, productive relationship with leadership team.

Partner with all functional departments to ensure meeting company safety goals.

Follow and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.

Follow and enforce all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor degree
-
5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
-
2 years’ experience in developing and delivering professional training at all organizational levels.

Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to problem solving is required.
Other Skills and relevant considerations:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Experience developing and delivering training.

Proficiency in the use of MS Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and the ability to do routine statistics

2 years’ experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Experience with ADP and Training Features

Instructional design or curriculum design experience

Strong people leadership, including mentoring and coaching skills.

OSHA 10/30 or the willingness to do so in the first 90 days of employment

Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.

Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Exposure to nut allergens.
