Description:
JES Tech is looking for a Commercial LEO Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Integrator that will support the Commercial LEO Development Program (CLDP) Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) Office. The position will work to ensure S&MA requirements are inserted into the CLDP requirement, Data Requirements Documents (DRDs), operations, and hazard documentation that drives safety and crew survivability products. The S&MA Integrator will work closely with a NASA lead and participate in designated meetings and working groups as a mechanism for monitoring the incorporation of S&MA requirements into vehicle design and development. The S&MA Integrator will obtain and maintain technical knowledge while engaging SMEs for the details. This position will monitor how well S&MA requirements are met, ensure that issues of unmet or under met requirements are documented, communicate the status of these issues to the S&MA team, and prepare materials for communicating awareness or escalating issues as needed. The position will interface with the CLDP S&MA Office and other Program Offices as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in designated meetings, engaging appropriate S&MA representatives and/or SMEs as needed, taking notes during meetings, and communicating relevant information to the S&MA team.

Coordinate with CLDP S&MA Office, S&MA technical SMEs, and CLDP Program personnel.

Provide insight to Program compliance with S&MA requirements as well as inform S&MA decisions. Identify issues and elevate as necessary

Coordinate and participate in Program document and design reviews, corresponding summary assessments, and follow up on resulting actions. This may include development of processes to accomplish these tasks

Develop requirements mapping from S&MA requirements to Program documents and CLDP DRDS and perform corresponding gap analysis.

Develop position papers, presentations, and/or requirements interpretations for S&MA issues.

Participate in S&MA meetings, CLDP meetings, and internal team meetings; develop and deliver presentations as necessary.

Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel

Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies, and procedures

Responsible for completing all assigned training
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED

Must have a Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, industrial engineering, or closely related field and 3 years’ experience.
DESIRED
-
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with multi-disciplined teams is desired. Experience with S&MA requirements/verification in human spaceflight vehicle design and/or with NASA DRD development and implementation is highly desirable. Experience in NASA spaceflight operations is desired.

Possess strong verbal and written communication skills including delivering presentations and writing reports. Verbal skills also include the capability to speak up in Program meetings.

Capability to listen to Subject Matter Experts (SME), and to understand enough to represent their expertise, but not to serve as the expert to the exclusion of the SME.

Ability to work in Microsoft Office's suite of tools, especially SharePoint and Excel, is required.
