Cybersecurity Project Manager Job Description:

- Must possess six (6) years of experience in Project Management as well as experience
working with IT or information security professionals.
- Preferably have prior experience with the federal government agencies, specifically with
the Department of Treasury
- Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects
and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
- Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all
areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
- Defines project scope and objectives.
- Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status
reports.
- Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
- Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables.
- Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
- Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls
- Establish plans and protocols to protect digital files and information systems against
unauthorized access, modification and/or destruction
- Maintain data and monitor security access
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments
- Conduct internal and external security audits
- Anticipate security alerts, incidents and disasters and reduce their likelihood
- Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause
- Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
- Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies
- Train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures
- Coordinate security plans with outside vendors
Cybersecurity PM and Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of Cybersecurity stacks with preference for CISSP and
PMP certification
- Prior knowledge of C, C++, C#, Java or PHP programming languages
- IDS/IPS, penetration and vulnerability testing
- DLP, anti-virus and anti-malware
- Firewall and intrusion detection/prevention protocols
- Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systemsNetwork protocols and packet analysis tools
- Cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS models
- Understanding of eGRC, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) & SOC
(Security Operations Center)
Education:
- Major (Bachelor of Science) in Computer Science, Engineering and/or related fields
