Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Surgical Technology program. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Director of Education. As the program leader, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours.
The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.
Requirements
- Documented expertise in Surgical Technology, as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications and/or résumés.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist/CST
- At least 2 years of prior postsecondary-related teaching experience is required.
- A Bachelor degree in the field or closely related, as required by accrediting and licensing agency standards.
- Current/active NBSTSA CST certification.
