Duties of a Model & Simulation Systems Engineer/Analyst may include:
- Understand science and engineering concepts and write code to integrate into models & simulations
- Analyze system performance based on system concept parameters and MBSE techniques
- Assist with modeling planned test scenarios and estimating predicted test performance
- Run computer models and simulations for architecture and concept analyses
- Analyze simulation outputs and prepare presentations of analysis results
- Assist with model development and maintenance of MBSE concepts (e.g., Systems Modeling Language (SysML) tools, e.g., Cameo)
- Coordinate with other MBSE tools and activities to update or inform design decisions
- Ability to think critically and analyze complex issues in a dynamic environment
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience, with at least 5 years related to this job tasks and requirements
- Experience with physics-based model development or simulation
- Experience with System Engineering process (e.g., concept, design/requirements, verification, test, deployment)Familiarity with modeling complex systems and coding using C++, MATLAB, Python, and/or Julia
- Familiarity with software version control tools (e.g., github)
- Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks, AGI’s System Tool Kit (STK), MATLAB/Simulink, ModelCenter
- Proficiency in working on one or more of the following systems/missions.
- Missile Defense System (e.g., sensors, weapon, battle management, space-based systems)
- Missile Defense Threat Systems (e.g., ballistic, hyper-glide, cruise missiles)
- Missile Defense Kill Chain (e.g., detection, tracking, discrimination, kill assessment)
- Model & Simulation-based system analysis (e.g., system performance, trade space,
- analysis-of-alternatives)
Education Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Science, or related field/experience
Security Clearance Requirements
- TS, SCI - Active DOD TS, Current or Recent SCI clearance
