The primary role of this position is to develop and implement training programs for employees, focusing on safety, compliance, and professional development.
What This Position Does:
· Develops, implements, coordinates, and supervises company-wide technical and regulatory training materials, sessions and activities.
· Ensures timely compliance with MSHA/OSHA required training and reporting.
· Maintains site regulatory documentation for inspection and third-party review.
· Provides relevant courses on operations and safety through classroom, field training, and video conferencing.
· Collaborates with staff at all levels to assess training needs and effectiveness.
· Prepares and delivers safety refresher and site-specific training materials, including manuals, videos, and booklets.
· Administers contracts with professional trainers, consultants, and contractors to facilitate third-party training.
· Ensures satisfactory completion of safety and professional development training.
· Collects feedback from attendees to improve content and presentation.
· Investigates, reviews, tracks, and documents all regulatory related incidents, and conducts the necessary root cause analysis.
· Leads staff discussions to foster a culture of incident prevention and risk mitigation.
· Serves as an information resource and advisor for staff regarding training and employee development. Tracks progress of employee development. Keeps managers apprised of progress.

Experience and qualifications REQUIRED
· Two years of experience in employee training or similar role.
· Ability to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing/mining environment.
· Ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong understanding of training and development principles.
- Timeliness and effective time management.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Proficient in report writing and data analysis in MS Office formats.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Experience and qualifications PREFERRED
- Previous supervision and/or Human Resources experience.
- Familiar with Cal-OSHA and MSHA safety regulations.
- Experienced with Learning Management Systems and/or database management.
- Local candidates preferred.
