Our Early Childhood Services (ECS) center is looking for a licensed Counselor who will work with Early Childhood clients. The Counselor offers diagnostic assessment, treatment, education, early intervention, and consultation services to Crossroads Health Early Childhood Service clients, community partners and Early Childhood Service programs. This position is responsible for group and family treatment services as well as consultation and intervention services to Crossroads Early Childhood programs. This licensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
More specifically, the primary responsibilities include:
- Performing individual, group and family counseling and treatment services
- Provides therapeutic interventions in a office, home and/or in the community
- Providing families with information and guidance in the development of a treatment plan
- Performing crisis intervention activities as necessary
- Acting as point of contact between client and their families and other community resources
Position requirements include:
- Bachelors acceptable with 3 years of experience. Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work preferred
- LSW or LPC licensure required. LISW or LPCC preferred
- Knowledgeable about child development with a focus on social-emotional skills
- Experienced in community organizing and/or team building; experienced with consulting with early childhood educational systems preferred but not required
- Able to participate 2 evenings a week when needed
