Beyond Autism, Inc. is a non-profit, private and collaborative day school for children diagnosed with autism and related disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable and open-minded special education teacher to join our team. This unique opportunity is tailored for a candidate seeking to develop leadership skills and who is eager to reconceptualize the role of a teacher.
In this position, you will collaborate with our other professional and passionate team members to deliver an individualized program in our supportive and positive environment. This will include floating between our two campuses. Our functional track ensures the skills we are teaching reach outside of the classroom to have the biggest impact on our students and their families' lives.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
- 3+ years teaching experience in a self-contained classroom
- Valid AZ Department of Education Cross Categorial/Mild-Moderate Certification preferred
- Valid IVP card, CPR and First Aid
- Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a plus
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs; must be able to bend, stretch, reach, twist, walk, run and stand for an extended period of time
- Attend and maintain PCMA certification (training provided by Beyond Autism)
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proficient in the development and implementation of individualized education plans
- Conduct academic and related assessments
- Maintain an organized and safe environment for students and team members
- Collect and analyze data with team members and BCBA
- Support the implementation of behavior strategies under the direction of the BCBA
- Implement a schedule incorporating ABA strategies into all aspects of curriculum including academics, life, play and social skills
- Teach individual, small and large groups
- Maintain all required documentation and student records
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Provide support to fellow team members in a respectful and positive manner
- Collaborate with consulting professionals
- Attend all Beyond Autism trainings
- Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth in our handbook
- Support the mission and vision of Beyond Autism

- Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm
