Job Summary for the Patient Care Coordinator:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team in a group Ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support and exceptional customer service to patients in a medical office setting.
Location for the Patient Care Coordinator::
The office is located at the Friendship Hts. (red line) metro station. Ample parking is also available. Paid parking or metro allowance provided to all employees.
Salary: $20 - $22 per hour dependent upon experience.
Duties of the Patient Care Coordinator:
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
- Manage patient records and update information accurately
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly
- Verify insurance information and process payments
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Requirements for the Patient Care Coordinator:
- Previous front desk experience in a medical office.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in office software applications
