As a procurement specialist, you will support the federal government's information technology lifecycle management team/process in procuring and managing products including software, hardware, and subscription services.
An understanding of DoD and government security standards and policies are needed to ensure all developed artifacts meet and exceed the expected security standards.
Qualifications:

5+ years of procurement, contracts, purchasing, and license management experience in support of a federal government department/agency (DoD experience highly preferred).

Hands on experience supporting end to end lifecycle of software, hardware, and subscription service licenses.

Knowledge of federal government purchasing rules and regulations.

Expert working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands.

Self-motivator and self-starter.
Typical Duties/Abilities:

Develop documentation in support of the procurement and purchasing lifecycle.

Responsible for all communication and coordination with multiple product vendors and subscription services providers.

Oversee and manage license lifecycles of software and hardware products.

Present reports and briefs to government stakeholders including high level executives.

Manage expectations of government customers and stakeholders.

Negotiate contracts and purchasing agreements on behalf of the government customers.

Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in IT management, business, or a relevant field.
