Franchise Training & Support Director
Russo Restaurant Group headquarters in Houston Texas is expanding Russo new York pizzeria Italian kitchen franchise concept in domestic and in international markets. We are seeking a director of operation to coach and support our currant and new franchisee. This is not a remote position
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience gained through a blend of education and relevant work history
- Possess a positive attitude, resilience, problem-solving skills, and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to adapt and take on various roles to effectively support franchisees and business goals
- Proficiency in business operations, marketing, financials, and payroll
- Demonstrated experience in training individuals and teams, as well as in new store openings
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Based in Houston, Texas, or open to relocation
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Over 5 years of operational experience in restaurant, multi-unit franchises, or similar directorial roles
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
- Effective organizational and project management capabilities
- Skilled in building and maintaining productive relationships
- Self-discipline to work autonomously

Responsibilities:
The role of Franchise Training and Support Manager encompasses various responsibilities, including:
- Managing the onboarding process for new franchisees, overseeing training implementation, and integrating them into the system
- Handling all scheduled communications with franchisees, developing onboarding and project training materials, and assisting in kitchen and restaurant design for pre-opening and post-opening training
- Assisting franchisees in successfully launching new stores by sourcing kitchen equipment
- Serving as a primary liaison between franchisees and the franchisor
- Planning and coordinating all necessary franchisee training sessions, initial onboarding, in-shop training, and pre- and post-training store audits
- Ensuring speaker availability, coordinating with internal team members, and communicating agendas to internal and external partners
- Acting as an intermediary between franchisees and Russo’s owners and team
- Creating and delivering regular communications with franchisees, such as newsletters, one-on-one operations calls, system-wide calls, and annual conferences
- Managing the implementation of new initiatives, product deployments, special promotions, and new menu items
- Ensuring franchisor systems and processes are effectively deployed and followed in each location
- Maintaining consistent communication of the Company's brand in all marketing activities and communications, updating kitchen standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Collaborating closely with all Russo’s team members to support the growth of the emerging franchise department, including learning shop operations and metrics to enhance knowledge of shop management and operations through training and support
- Managing and organizing all franchise contracts, assisting in discovery days, and overseeing the annual Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) update process
- Supervising new construction, managing pre-opening timelines, and providing support to ensure successful franchisee openings
Job description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a vibrant personality to lead franchise training and support at Russo’s. The Franchise Training and Support role involves managing new franchisee onboarding, training, system integration, and maintaining regular communication with our franchisees. This position also involves developing onboarding and project training materials, providing operational support, assisting in new store openings, and coaching franchisees. The individual in this role will act as a crucial link between franchisees and Russo’s.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise training at corporate restaurant locations and assist in day-to-day operations at our corporate stores.
- Support new franchisee onboarding processes.
- Prepare and coordinate required franchisee training sessions, onboarding activities, in-shop training, and pre- and post-training evaluations. Confirm speaker availability with internal team members and communicate agendas to all relevant parties.
- Act as an intermediary between franchisees and the Russo owners and team.
- Develop and deliver regular communications to franchisees, including newsletters, one-on-one operations calls, system-wide calls, and annual conferences. Manage the rollout of new initiatives, product deployments, and other projects.
- Assist in ensuring that franchisor systems and processes are effectively implemented and adhered to.
- Maintain consistent communication of the company's brand in all marketing activities and communications.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

- Based in Utah or willing to relocate, with a willingness to travel.
- At least 5 years of operational experience in full-service restaurants, new store openings, multi-unit franchises, or similar environments.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Capacity to build effective relationships.
- Self-discipline to work independently.
- Understanding of the dynamics of franchise and company-owned environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
