Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Outreach Manager, the Outreach Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Outreach Unit, within the Energy Services Department, to achieve departmental outreach objectives in Cook County by supporting Outreach teams and coordinating various initiatives. This includes generating, analyzing, and managing reports, coordinating events, facilitating mass communications via mail or eMarketing software, maintaining SharePoint and other Outreach databases, and executing additional projects to achieve organizational objectives. Must demonstrate good judgment, an ability to be approachable and professional, solid problem-solving skills, an ability to handle multiple tasks, an ability to be self-motivated and well organized, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Essential Functions

Provide support for the day-to-day activities of the Outreach department which includes database oversight, organizing mass communications, and outreach reports.

Utilize internal reports to monitor and analyze program and production data.

Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Forms

Collaborate closely with the Outreach Manager to assess, document, and enhance team processes.

Contribute to the development, upkeep, and organization of Outreach templates for presentations and communications.

Draft and execute written communications, both internally and externally, as delegated by management relevant to outreach initiatives.

Use eMarketing software to execute electronic communications.

Assist the Outreach team in the coordination of events involving the Energy Services department.

Establish and manage an electronic filing system for Outreach communications, training materials, and advertising collateral.

Support the team with special projects as required.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment/ Travel
While performing the duties of this job, the employee works mostly in an office environment that is quiet to moderately loud, depending on the work area. Employee is required to sit, use hands, stand, stoop, walk, talk, and listen while performing duties. General office equipment including personal computers, scanners, copiers, faxes, desk- and smartphones, and software programs. Travel of distance, especially throughout the Cook County region, may be required, including nights and weekends. If using a personal vehicle, must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance that meets State requirements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
It is an administrative support level position requiring the exercise of discretion and independent judgment and is required to work a full-time work week, as designated by the CEDA Employee Handbook.
Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

One (1) to two (2) years experience conducting job duties as described.
Preferred Education and Experience

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Adobe are preferred.

College or vocational training preferred

Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

Non-profit organization experience helpful

Experience in Energy Assistance Programs or a relevant social service operation.
