C & B Powersports, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere Ag, Material Handling and Power Sports locations, has an opening for a Sales Manager. This individual will Develop and maintain a positive yet aggressive sales culture while guiding the sales teams to maximize return on investment and strive for exceptional customer satisfaction. Attract, develop, and retain outstanding talent. Effectively engage department personnel; optimize sales department processes to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction; grow profitable new and used sales department; Responsible for all sales metrics of the sales department.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure appropriate sales team staffing to meet business objectives
- Support sales professionals to strengthen customer relationships and drive deal development through an established sales process
- Evaluate the performance of the sales staff and support their skill development and career planning activities
- Ensure all volume metrics are consistently met
- Review all sales staff on a monthly and quarterly basis to review budget and individual objectives, close rates, follow-ups, and future opportunities
- Provide support and guidance for sales staff on individual deals and hold final pricing authority to ensure deals are won
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective customer relationship processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction is at 100% or above based on manufacturers CSI scores
- Develop, implement, and maintain a process to ensure 100% of customers are contacted after the sale
- Set expectations for prospecting and customer interaction, call scheduling, and timely resolution of customer issues, contact after the sale
- Achieve budgeted sales, market share and financial objectives that align with and support the company strategy on complete goods inventory and pricing
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in sales with comprehensive understanding of powersports dealer operations, business systems, and sales support tools
- Experience with Lightspeed DMS and Equip operating systems are a plus
- 3 to 5 years of prior management experience
- Ability to develop and motivate others through coaching, knowledge-sharing, and modeling
- Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, within a group, and across the organization
- Comprehensive understanding of financial principles relative to sales department operations
- Experience with Polaris, John Deere turf and competitive product is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
