Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. This role offers an opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including outpatient clinics, medical offices, and Level II Trauma Centers.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs
- Provide catheter care and assist with medical procedures
- Support pediatric patients in specialized units like PICU
- Utilize medical terminology accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient well-being
- Lift and move patients safely when necessary
Qualifications:
- Completion of a nursing assistant program or equivalent training
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Experience in a medical office or behavioral health setting is a plus
- Familiarity with pediatric care and outpatient services
- Ability to work effectively within healthcare systems
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards patients
