The Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), a national association serving nurses and other healthcare professionals working in palliative and hospice care, is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Partnerships. This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies to acquire, retain, and grow participation within the organizations’ Employer Partner Program (EPP). The Director of Corporate Partnerships scans the marketplace to identify and secure new business opportunities, including but not limited to strategic partnerships (both non-profit and corporate), product and service offerings, and expanded influence with current donors/members for three related organizations’ (Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association, Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation, and Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center).
This is a fully remote position with bonus opportunities.
In addition to the HPNA staff, the Director of Corporate Partnerships will work often with staff from the Hospice and Palliative Credentialing Center (HPCC) and Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation (HPNF)

The Director of Corporate Partnerships has managerial responsibilities for staff positions within the EPP department. This position serves as an organizational representative to external partners and a leading change-agent in new business development. Responsibilities for this role include the following:
· Collaborate with senior management to align partnership strategies with the strategic goals of the organizations (HPNA, HPCC, and HPNF).
· Develop comprehensive strategies to acquire new EPP partnerships and/or business relationships.
· Cultivate new EPP relationships and renewals to drive overall revenue and facilitate partnerships to achieve annual revenue goals.
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of EPP memberships and partnerships.
· Optimize new/existing EPP relationships by boosting levels of total engagement (purchases, communication, philanthropy, and overall program involvement - in partnership with other internal departments).
· Collaborate with staff across the organization to service and grow EPP program partners and overall involvement in EPP programs.
· Organize and oversee EPP staff member assignments, projects, and overall performance goals.
· Coordinate with HPNF staff to enhance opportunities for the foundation and expand the overall influence of corporate donors within the enterprise.
· Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, membership, education, and IT to execute EPP initiatives effectively.
· Develop and manage budgets for EPP programs and activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field or commensurate relevant experience required. Master’s degree in business administration or relevant specialty preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience related to business development, account management, and/or corporate sales.
- Proven knowledge of the theories, techniques, and general body of knowledge in the field of business, finance and or marketing required to perform duties.
- Specialized or advanced knowledge in business management, especially within the fields of hospice and palliative care and non-profit management, is preferred to excel within the role.
- Possesses adequate experience to work independently and with discretion or independent judgment. Draws upon past experience and judgment to troubleshoot issues and resolve them with professional solutions and tact.
- Proficient with relevant technology applications such as customer relationship management (CRM) software, database applications, email marketing applications, social media platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
