Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Medi-Cal Biller. The ideal candidate will have experience using Office Ally and Availity software and be knowledgeable about Cal AIM Enhanced Care Management and Community Support Program. As a Medi-Cal Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, maximizing reimbursements, and maintaining compliance with Medi-Cal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Use Office Ally and Availity software to process and submit Medi-Cal claims accurately and timely.
- Review and verify patient information, insurance coverage, and billing codes to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and resolve any billing errors or discrepancies to minimize claim rejections.
- Maintain updated knowledge of Cal AIM Enhanced Care Management and Community Support Program requirements and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve any billing-related issues.
- Stay current with changes in Medi-Cal billing guidelines and communicate updates to the team.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of necessary documentation for audits and reviews.
- Maintain organized billing records and documentation for reference and auditing purposes.
- Provide support and training to staff members on Medi-Cal billing processes and software usage, as needed.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in medical billing preferred.
- Proven experience as a Medi-Cal Biller, with proficiency in using Office Ally and Availity software.
- Strong knowledge of Cal AIM Enhanced Care Management and Community Support Program.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
- Ability to adapt to changes in billing guidelines and regulations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures.
- Proficient in using computer software and electronic health record systems.
