Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Director, Sales & Merchandising who is able to Provide customer support and drive sales growth, both internal and external, by building strong relationships with our stakeholders, buyers and consumers. The Associate Director of Sales & Manager is in charge of proper execution and presentation of all customers programs, planograms and new product introductions across their specific market.
Duties/Responsibilities
Support and maintain a professional, team environment.
Support with training as needed.
Responsible for helping with onboarding of new employees paperwork and teaming up with HR for proper compliance documentation.
Responsible for managing the execution of retail programs including plan-o-gram optimization, proper product placement with approval of his or her Director.
Participates in group meetings or conference calls to set direction for the week’s priorities.
Collaborates with his or her managers to identify opportunities to drive sales and gross margin.
Communicates issues effectively throughout the chain of command.
Ensure merchandise presentation is in accordance with Live Goods Department/Visual standards
Work with store operators to design and execute creative displays to promote additional sales opportunities.
Participate in district functions such as resets and events.
Communicate with customer operations teams on the progress of programs, sales, opportunities or any pressing issues to build trusting relationships and reach internal and external goals.
Responsible for making sure all stores ready for market walks that aligns with company initiatives.
Utilize internal reporting metrics to ensure proper management of inventory flow, sales growth and shrink both internal and for our customers to achieve the forecasted goals.
Assist in customer meetings to ensure proper rollout of new programs.
Responsible for Management of budgeted hours.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Sales experience
Preferred experience working with plants and live goods
Customer service savvy
Expectational communication skills both verbal and written
Negotiation skills
Ability to execute and think strategically
Proactive to respond to ad hoc requests within market
General math knowledge
Education and Experience:
Degree in sales or business management
3+ years of experience in a merchandising role
4+ years of experience in management
Travel Requirement:
Travel will be required for training and support at various locations.
During black out days, Overtime will be required. (100 days of spring)
