This is an in-office position located in New Hyde Park, NY 11042.
Human Resources Coordinator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing proactive HR support, guidance, and counsel.
- Responsible for development and communication of HR policies and procedures to all staff.
- Manages benefits programs including open enrollments, terminations of coverage and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Assist the Director of Human Resources by collecting by managing the collection of payroll documentation and ensuring that the weekly payroll process runs smoothly and accurately.
- Ensuring that employee relations strategies are in place.
- Assisting the Director of Human Resources with issues including performance management, terminations, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc.
- Provide recruitment support by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
- Manages the New Hire process; orientation and overall on-boarding.
- Works with internal and external counsel to ensure the company is compliant with Office of Federal Contractor Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidelines.
- Coordinating and leading various projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to plan and coordinate a variety of employee engagement events, such as team-building activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
Human Resources Coordinator Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- HR management experience, with a proven track record of leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
