Warehouse Inventory Specialist
Job summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain the company’s inventory by performing inventory checks, cycle counts, quality checks on outbound orders and perform random counts on inbound freight to ensure accuracy.
Primary duties:

Develop expert abilities using the company’s WMS

Count materials in stock and work with Customer Service Representative to update inventory records.

Compare inventory with previous records, compute figures from previous records such as inbounds and shipments.

Work with various warehouse teams on correctly entering storage data, training on system requirements, collaborate with IT on system improvements.

Verify computer data with physical count of stock and adjust errors. Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.

Quality check orders for accuracy before they are labeled

Quality check labels placed on cartons for item number and correct placement on carton

Report cycle count performance to management

Maintain cleanliness in warehouse as needed

Performs other duties/projects as needed
Required skills/abilities:

Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, customers, management

Previous experience with inventory control, cycle counts, inventory procedures

Ability to perform basic math calculations

Experience with MS outlook and excel programs

Strong clerical skills

Detail oriented

Ability to work with minimal supervision
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Experience with computerized inventory system in a warehouse environment required

At least one year cycle counting experience required

Forklift and/or reach lift certification preferred
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and navigate warehouse by lifting, standing, climbing, bending, pulling, pushing, to reach items both high and low

Frequent use of forklift and/or reach lift

Must be comfortable with heights
-
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted at times
