Job Summary:
The Production Manager’s primary function is to manage the process and the people in the manufacturing environment while maintaining all appropriate performance standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Shift Supervisors, Shipping & Receiving, Facilities and Maintenance
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide input to support team regarding job planning, production costs, and scheduling.
- Works with the Maintenance team to implement a Proactive maintenance schedule for all machinery
- Manage Production team to help support the continuous improvement manager to reduce waste, improve productivity, performance, Quality.
Helps support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and drive the change culture to continuously improve.
- Monitor production runs to prevent and/or troubleshoot issues.
- Evaluate operator productivity and performance quality on a continuous basis.
- Train and help develop each shift Production supervisors to improve each shifts productivity and team morale
- Maintain updated industry and machine knowledge for workplace application.
- Work with staff to improve the accuracy of the production data collection and reporting.
- Obtain funding for strategic and maintenance capital projects.
- Develop and implement programs that comply with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Investigate all safety and occupational health related injuries/accidents. Implement all corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of injuries and incidents.
- Work with the General Manager and Human Resources to drive safety awareness into the organization and champion initiatives to prevent injuries.
- Works closely with Human Resources to implement a full training plan/career path for all Production team members.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Effectively manage time to equally support all three shift supervisors and shifts.

Required Education/Experience
- At least 10 years’ management experience required.
- Manufacturing experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- cGMP familiarity a plus.
- Knowledge of printing industry preferred.
- Familiarity with roll and sheet fed, flexographic, and digital printing.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at times. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Starting salary range: $85,000 – 105,000, actual compensation will be based on experience.
