The Role
The Head Coach is responsible for the success of the varsity hockey program. This includes selecting and managing varsity assistant coaches and working with the Athletic Director to schedule and lead the team during competitions.
The Hockey Program
We offer a wide range of athletic teams for students, most starting at the modified level. Student athletes are expected to participate in multiple sports. Our coaches focus on the development of each individual and are passionate about their sport. Many are involved in the school community as teachers or other roles. We prepare students for a successful college experience and the hockey program plays a role by developing teamwork, goal setting, leadership and sportsmanship that sets these student-athletes apart. Within the hockey program we field a varsity team that competes against local public high schools. Our highest level team competes in the New England Prep School Athletic Counsel. Home games are played on campus in an ice arena with stadium seating. The weight room is large and the newly constructed Poole Athletic Center offers 34,000 square feet of indoor dry-land training space.
