Sunny Days Therapeutics, LLC is currently seeking a high performing Family Service Specialist / Behavioral Aide to provide services and support to children and families involved with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services in Barrow County, GA. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide parent education including childcare responsibilities and safety and well-being of children
- Implement appropriate behavioral interventions designed to improve child behavior
- Monitoring, observing, supervising visitations between approved parents and children
- Provide transportation services
- Hotel supervision for displaced foster children
- Provide drug screen collections
- Collaborate with case managers, other contractors and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration
- Facilitate conflict management and resolution among individuals and within families
- Monitor and assess the behavioral health of clients and report any concerns or changes to appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress and outcomes

Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED & 5 years human services experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (no human services experience required)
- Own, drive, and maintain an automobile in good working condition, receiving a reimbursement for agency business mileage between locations.
- Have proof of car insurance that meets the state standards.
- MUST be able to pass multiple background checks including Child Protective Services, Sex Offender Registry, Dept of Corrections, State Board of Pardon & Paroles, Motor Vehicle and possibly more as required by DFCS.
- Understand that this job will require some evenings and weekends plus on-call hours.
- Be computer literate, including word processing and excel spreadsheets.
- Be organized and detail oriented.
- Possess good communication and writing skills.
- Knowledge of child welfare policies and procedures
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and behavioral health support
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $14.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
