The Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties is actively seeking a caring, professional Day Treatment Therapist to actively encourage and support the recovery of persons with severe and persistent mental illness; and assist psychiatrically impaired adults in achieving and maintaining successful community living. Duties:
- Actively encourages and supports the recovery of persons with severe and persistent mental illness; and supports the recovery of individuals within the Mental Health Day Treatment Program.
- Provides clinical intervention in individual and group format that include, but are not limited to: skills development, relational competency, problem solving, positive coping skills, symptom management, psychoeducational interventions, and other active interventions as identified.
- Participates in all aspects of the Day Treatment Program, as needed including; triage/screening, diagnosing and assessing, ongoing stabilization and treatment, case management, treatment planning and discharge planning
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical approaches to severe mental disorder counseling and the ability to implement them with a variety of populations.
Education and Credential Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work or a related mental health area
- Licensed as an LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC.
