Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Schedule: 8 hours a day, available for Day, Evening, and Night shifts with weekend requirements (may be every, every other, or varied). No Overtime. No Holidays.

Job Duties:
- Direct Patient Care: Under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor, you will administer oxygen, apply sterile dressings, insert catheters, reinsert gastrostomy tubes, suction, irrigate wounds, give enemas, and collect specimens. You will also perform dialysis treatments, operate hemodialysis equipment, and monitor patients during procedures.
- Assistance in Medical Procedures: Assist physicians with physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests. In emergencies, you will provide first aid, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and restrain patients if necessary. Administer controlled drugs, such as narcotics and minor tranquilizers, and non-controlled medications in oral, rectal, topical, or injectable forms (intramuscular and subcutaneous injections only). Provide medication instructions to patients.
- Medication Management: Maintain medication accountability records, including charting patient records, preparing and counting medication, and maintaining medication stock and medical equipment supplies. Observe, document, and report patient conditions, including medication reactions, treatment responses, patient behavior, and progress. Prepare and maintain related reports and records, such as unusual incident reports, patient records, medication reports, seclusion/restraint logs, patient Kardex, and team plans.
- General Nursing and Direct Care: Provide general nursing, direct care, and programming assistance, including taking patient vital signs, assisting with personal grooming and hygiene, bathing or daily living activities, administering topical ointments and solutions, eye, ear, or nose drops, repositioning patients, responding to patient alarms, making medical appointments for patients, escorting patients, and assisting with recreational activities. Conduct one-to-one and group activities according to intervention stated on the treatment plan.
- Support and Training: Provide work direction, orientation, and training to lower-level direct care staff (e.g., hospital aides, orderlies, psychiatric attendants) in providing general unskilled nursing care (e.g., dressing, bathing, feeding) to patients. Attend and participate in various meetings, such as staff conferences, committees, interdisciplinary team meetings, in-service training programs, and nursing meetings as assigned.
- Administrative Tasks: Order medication and medical supplies, clean the nurse's station and medication room/medication cart (e.g., clean, sterilize, and restock cart; defrost and clean medication refrigerator), and perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing.
