Responsibilities:
Conduct Assessments: Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments using various assessment tools and techniques to identify the strengths, needs, and goals of individuals with behavioral challenges or developmental disabilities.
Develop Individualized Behavior Plans: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including parents/guardians, educators, and other professionals, to design and implement individualized behavior support plans based on assessment results and best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Provide Direct Behavioral Interventions: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based behavioral interventions to individuals with behavioral challenges or developmental disabilities, focusing on skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and increasing adaptive behaviors.
Training and Consultation: Provide training and consultation to parents/guardians, educators, and other team members on the principles and strategies of ABA, including behavior management techniques, data collection, and reinforcement systems.
Behavior Data Collection and Analysis: Implement data collection procedures, analyze behavioral data, and make data-based decisions to guide treatment modifications and ensure ongoing progress monitoring.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor individual progress and prepare comprehensive progress reports, maintaining accurate documentation of assessment findings, treatment plans, and intervention outcomes.
Stay Current with Research and Best Practices: Continuously update knowledge and skills in the field of ABA by staying current with research, attending conferences, and participating in relevant professional development activities.
Ethics and Professionalism: Adhere to the ethical guidelines established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and maintain the highest level of professionalism in all interactions with individuals, families, and colleagues.
Collaboration and Teamwork: Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment by actively participating in team meetings, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaborations to ensure coordinated care and effective service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current and active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Master's or doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a BCBA, preferably in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of applied behavior analysis principles, methodologies, and intervention strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to develop and implement behavior support plans, conduct assessments, and collect and analyze behavioral data.
- Proficiency in using technology for data collection and analysis, as well as familiarity with relevant software and assessment tools.
- Dedication to maintaining professional development by pursuing ongoing training and keeping up-to-date with research and best practices in the field.
- Ability to work independently and manage a low caseload effectively, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
