Temporary Warehouse Associate
Look through work orders to determine type and quantity of items to be picked
- Locate and pick items from storage areas and check them to ensure that the right item has been picked.
- Move picked items to packing areas, look for any damages and pack them in crates or cartons
- Generate labels to be placed on packed items, in accordance to specifications provided by the supervisor
- Ascertain that all packed items are properly labeled with batch and item numbers
- Load them onto delivery trucks and ensure that they are safely stacked
- Receive incoming shipments from vendors and compare items with invoices and work orders
- Arrange for items to be checked for damage and moved to designated storage areas
- Ascertain that all incoming items are logged into the company database and any special notes are inserted
- Clean and maintain the warehouse to ensure that it is safe and accessible at all times
- Create and file records of incoming and outgoing shipments and process requests for information retrieval
- File requisitions and requests for materials and stock items and ring alerts for low stock materials
Conduct audits of warehouse stock and report any need for improvement to the supervisor
