tamford Hospital is seeking a Clinical Assistant to join our new Observation Unit! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment. The observation and overflow Unit main purpose is patient assessment to determine if they can be admitted/transitioned to the hospital.
A
s a CNA you will serve as a first line of action by communicating with patients via two-way audio to prevent unsafe behaviors and conditions. This position creates a relationship with the patient to enhance care and communication, and to streamline that care process wherever possible. Utilizes the appropriate resources to plan and provide services that are safe, effective and financially responsible. Schedule: Full Time, night shift, Monday to Friday, including rotating weekends.
M
obility is necessary to provide patient care. Physical effort is required to assist patients with transfer and ambulation, which may involve lifting, pushing and pulling patients. Hearing within normal range is necessary in order to properly conduct assessments. Must be able to endure prolonged periods of standing and walking.

) Minimum of high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

) Must have one of the following:
C
- ertified from a CNA program
E
- nrolled in an accredited nursing program having completed core nursing curriculum for ADLs' as part of clinical rotations
A
- graduate of a foreign nursing program
A
- graduate of an accredited nursing program, having failed board licensure (2 chances)
3
) Heart Saver or equivalent required- BLS.
