About the Role:
As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Capstone Healthcare, you'll play a vital role in providing quality care and support to our residents. **2pm - 10pm Shift**
Qualifications:
- Certified as a Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience working as a Medication Aide in a healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
- Records the distribution of medications and/or treatments accurately and timely.
- Monitors and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on shift.
- Maintains the medication cart in a clean and orderly fashion, checks for expired medication, and stocks the cart with supplies.
- Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health. Performs job duties per best practices and resident's plan of care.
- Conducts self in a professional manner and in compliance with facility policies.
- Promotes positive interactions with internal and external customers, visitors, residents, and team members.
- Provides excellent customer service that supports resident care.
- Participates in the identification of staff educational needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds when necessary.
