Job Summary:
The Phlebotomy Assistant Manager is responsible for the management, implementation, and support of In-Office Phlebotomists (IOPs) and Patient Service Centers (PSCs) in their assigned area of responsibility. The Phlebotomy Assistant Manager works closely with the Laboratory and implements change in the field as directed by Arbor Diagnostics Leadership.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervises approximately 30 direct reports in various locations.
· Coordinates with sales personnel to determine client needs.
· Performs audits to ensure Arbor employees are maintaining standards.
· Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
· Manages payroll and employee schedules.
· Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Possesses a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
· Has reliable transportation.
· Monitors workflow for quality and compliance.
· Oversees new client set-ups.
· Collects specimens in an efficient manner.
· Serves as an escalation and reference point for staff as needed.
· Has flexibility for approximately 60% of travel.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
· Associate Degree.
· 5 years of field experience as a phlebotomist.
· 2 or more years of Relevant leadership experience.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to alternate between standing, sitting, and walking.
· Frequent use of hands.
· Must be able to talk and hear.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
