Full Job Description

Primary Purpose: Oversee all Operations of the Inventory and Merchandising Department including budgeting and financial goals. Responsible for Administration aspects of the Customer Service Department, including Customer Correspondence, Reservations, Insider and Series Programs, and Technical Support. Deliver the highest level of customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism and commitment to the Habitude Mission and Values

Salon Support in a Keyholder/Manager On Duty capacity

Manager Expectations & Performance Requirements:

Work a minimum of 36-40 hours a week, able to work a flexible schedule including closing and one weekend day
Lead by example
Maintain excellent attendance record, consistently clock-in and out for all hours worked
Dedication to confidentiality and sensitivity of all client information
Create agendas for bi-weekly inventory meeting with Finance Department
Review and analyze monthly paperwork from Finance Manager, work within budget
If needed, assist other Managers with planning for staffing, training and special education events

Inventory Responsibilities:

Inventory Cycle – All Purchasing, receiving, and inventory counts for all inventory and supplies

Match RO’s to vendor invoices, ensure that wholesale and retail prices are accurate
Prepare and process monthly inventory counts with help of the support team
Utilize budget and discretion for all ordering and usage maximums
Keep all SKU’s updated and current
Identify inventory control system issues and recommend improvements
Work with Retail Lead to establish inventory levels by studying usage patterns and forecasts
Meets inventory control financial standards by identifying variances and implementing corrective actions
Maintain >2% shrinkage, develop strategies for reducing overstock and/or discontinued retail product
Accurate and timely reporting of month end balances and inventory transactions to the Finance Department

Forecasting

Auto ships, Subscriptions, adjustment of Min’s/Max’s for flow of seasons, education and promotions
Work with Service Department Managers to collaborate on the needs of their departments while staying within budgets
Ensure that we are not getting duplicates from the auto create with auto ships
Look at the movement reports and adjust the min’s/max’s on a monthly basis
Review back bar min’s/max’s and adjust as needed

Customer Care

Deliver the highest level of customer service while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Daily retrieval of all Hub related emails, voice mail messages and customer challenges
Handle client challenges with excellent judgment and discretion, in a time sensitive manner
Change the seasonal messages on tickets to promote product launches
Check email gift card sales daily, process and mail out if applicable
Accurately maintain stock and inventory control while minimizing shrinkage, utilize the Hub team to support the inventory department.
Exercise good judgment in the economical use of resources and supplies
Work with vendor representatives to ensure that collaborative efforts are made to increase our retailing opportunities and reduce back bar expenses
Collaborate with the Finance Department on all Inventory issues, concerns or needs

Maintain cooperation and teamwork, placing a high emphasis on customer service and satisfaction
Know all current company promotions and ensure the team is fully knowledgeable and trained
Ensure each team member is fully & adequately trained before they are ever left alone on the floor

Act as liaison between staff, management and customers
Update the Inventory Slack channels for need to knows for the team and your inventory players

Recommend and help develop ideas and plans to drive sales, assist other managers with the planning and coordination of all in-house promotions
Monitor and control operating expenses to stay within budget

Continuous Improvement

Utilize Habitude’s development tools and practices for education and merchandising
Collaborate with other managers to strategize improved sales and ordering
Possess and maintain the best knowledge of systems of the salon and spa industry
Be available to attend education and growth seminars

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
