Position Summary
Hexure is a leading services provider of Sales Automation solutions for top Life Insurance and Annuities companies throughout the United States, providing custom offerings and SaaS solutions for the entire sales lifecycle of Quoting to Application and Signature. We are looking for a stellar Engineering Manager to lead teams of up to 15 C# developers responsible for implementing actuarial calculations for our Life and Annuities clients. You will be directly responsible for the delivery of client actuarial calc requests, partnering with our Client Delivery Services organization, Business Analysts, Project/Program Managers to implement client requirements down to the penny, maintain a robust, bulletproof, scalable calculation engine platform, and foresee and drive the next generation of architectural direction for the calc-engine platform to help usher in a new era of client acquisition and growth.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
- 10+ years in Software Development on C#/.NET and similar platforms
- 5-7+ years leading and/or directly managing teams of 10-15 developers
- Robust understanding of SDLC, Agile development practices, as well as Functional and Automation Testing
- Outstanding technical skills, across C#/.NET programming, on-prem vs cloud-based architectures (Azure experience preferred), source code control (Git and/or TFS preferred), Jira, SQL, Excel, automation frameworks
- Experience developing and leading development teams in a Client Services / Consulting model
- Extensive experience in Insurance Industry (InsurTech), and/or broader FinTech sector
- Understands the nuances of financial applications and the high expectations for quality, reliability, and accuracy that accompany them
- Experience with SaaS platforms and decomposing legacy applications to services / microservices models
- Outstanding expertise in the cutting edge of next-generation software engineering techniques for application architecture, version management, configuration-management, and code generation that allow rapidly prototyping, developing and scaling thousands of client-specific actuarial requirements in a maintainable way
- Experience leading in a remote environment, and leading teams with a mix of new and tenured team members

- Drives extremely high standards of quality and delivery, establishing mature delivery metrics for code quality, automation, testing, observability, reliability, TTM / MTTD / MTTR production bugs, definition of done.

Expected hours of Work:
This is a full-time position with regular office hours Monday through Friday. This position may work with the India office a few days a week and will require an earlier start to the day around 6:30MT. This position may require after work hours and occasional weekends, depending on work demands.
