Salary Range: $126,500-$231,550

Responsibilities
Our Marketing Branding & Acquisition division is seeking a Manager – Marketing Strategy for our Strategy team. Our team is tasked with building foundational marketing strategies in consideration of the full consumer funnel to drive brand and product growth. We identify and define business opportunities and strategic roadmaps to fuel marketing plans and campaigns, while understanding and articulating the impact on business results.
As a Manager, Marketing Strategy in this role, you will oversee the development of marketing strategy for the master brand as well as the State Farm product portfolio in context of enterprise goals and performance, with the goal of driving company growth.
Key Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the team to develop and prioritize the enterprise marketing strategy, including the master brand, distribution strategy consumer targets, lifecycle strategy (acquisition through cross sell, retention and advocacy) and the overall campaign marketing strategy.

Orchestrates cross functional processes within Marketing to ensure collaboration and input into strategy development

Develops opportunity prioritization framework

Develops marketing strategies aligned with enterprise priorities while anticipating stakeholder needs

Leverages analytics to support strategic recommendations and business priority alignment

Contributes to the development, evaluation and interpretation of measurement frameworks

Sets strategic priorities across campaigns to drive objectives

Strategy includes full consumer touchpoints requiring collaboration with other departments in the enterprise, fully leveraging activity and driving the messaging so that State Farm shows up consistently and with one strong voice (ET, ECC, Agency, Agent Experience, Claims)

Responsible for development and presentation of annual campaign briefs

Responsible for salary administration, performance assessment and coaching, selection, training, and career development of reporting employees in accordance with company policies and procedures

Manages resources both human and financial in accordance with budget, department plans, and unit plans, within existing and anticipated business environments

Responsible for fostering an environment of continual innovation and process improvement within area of responsibility

Qualifications
Scale:

Experience managing large, cross-functional teams in a matrix framework

Experience leading teams directly that scale across multiple disciplines

Experience collaborating with peers and leaders across a broad organization

Experience managing operations for large brands with $500M+ marketing budget
Expertise:
-
7+ years of marketing and/or strategy experience, 2+ years in a leadership capacity

Deep knowledge of brand and product marketing strategy and translating strategy into execution

Comprehensive understanding of current data-driven tools and platforms and research approaches
-
Experience in blue-chip marketing organization and/or brand management
-
Program management capacity and rollout of large-scale initiatives

Experience with brands that work across the funnel from large sponsorships to retail activation
-
Insurance services category experience not required, but is a plus
Management Experience & People Leadership:

Experience driving consensus and momentum across multiple teams internally

Proven track record of building coalitions; collaborative, cross-functional team leadership

Proven track record of leading teams that have delivered strategies to execution
